Caudwell’s Mill

At Rowsley is a unique, grade II* listed historic roller flour mill.

Powered by water from the river Wye, one or more mills have stood on this site for at least 400 years. The present mill was built in 1874 by John Caudwell and run as a family business for over a century. We used the mill as a location for a recent series of films about the nutritional benefits of making your own bread. Using some of our rushes we made this one minute film to show what a trip to the mill could deliver. Sit back and let the mill grind you into peaceful submission.
