Little Yellow Pig

A great shoot with Cream and EDF’s Small Business team.

In the North West’s Little London, Little Yellow Pig is the hot spot for coffee in Hoole; a thriving, energetic neighbourhood on the edge of Chester. At Hoole’s heart is a quirky, uncorporate, winsome coffee house, perfectly placed on Westminster Road. LYP was an early specialist spot in the Notting Hill of the North.

If you’re looking for a vibe that is less “faceless corporate chain” and more “warm hug from a cool friend who owns too many Lego sets,” the Little Yellow Pig (LYP) is your spiritual home. With 2 additional locations in Nantwich, and Godstall Lane, Chester City Centre, LYP know their customers and they know their coffee. They take their beans seriously, often featuring Dark Arts’ Lost Highway or Hundred House Coffee.

In front of the camera today were Little Yellow Pig’s founders – Richard Winrow and Lucy Winrow – who were happy to chat about the ups and downs of running a small business, their vision for Little Yellow Pig and why they chose EDF to supply their energy.

Thanks to Rich, Lucy and the team at Little Yellow Pig – including Gethin Rhys Tewson and Jack – for welcoming us into their space and allowing us to film their craftsmanship at work! Also special mention for Jade Hazell who let us use her back garden as our interview location.

Our crew were pretty fantastic too: Carney James Turner, Fleur Willcox-Jones and Felix Piasecki brought the shoot together and brewed sound and vision to perfection.

Look out for the final film on LinkedIn soon.
