Our Jenny is a finalist for 2014 Wildlife Photographer Of The Year.
Her stunning shot "Startled by Stargazer" has been selected by London's Natural History Museum and the BBC as one of the year's most breathtaking images. The photo, taken on a muck dive in Indonesia's Lembeh Strait, features Uranoscopus Sulphureus, a Stargazer.
"It was here in the volcanic sand that I encountered this very weird looking fish. Having never been face to face with a Stargazer before, I was a little shocked as the black sand was gently blown away from its eyes and teeth, revealing its scary expression. Stargazers have eyes on the top of their heads and to hunt they bury themselves in the sand with only their eyes poking out, hence their name - Stargazer. This fella was about 25 cms long and posed patiently for quite some time."
The incredible photo was taken on a Canon 5D Mark II, ISO 120, F 18, 1/160 Shutter. Jenny used a 100mm canon lens, Subal housing and 1 x INON strobe. We're immensely proud that she's up for the People's Choice Award.
