Crows Nest Films Darius Rucker

Darius Rucker's bus is waiting so we're loadin' up and truckin'.

When our Country Music mates asked us if we'd like to shoot Darius Ruckering the Kaufleuten we couldn't refuse.  Carney is touring Europe filming Darius and his exceptional band with the extraordinary tour manager Mike Kelly for an upcoming feature length documentary.  The Captain flew out to Zurich on Saturday and caught up with his Charleston chum and the band.

Having played the Kaufleuten last night they made a moonlit mission to Amsterdam.  Carney joined Darius, Lee Turner, John Mason and Sasha Ostrovsky on a tour of Dutch Delights today including a visit to see fellow artist Rembrandt.  The boys, including Jeff Marino, Quinton Gibson and Garry Murray are performing tonight at Amsterdam's Melkweg Max.  Hold on to your lederhosen because they're not stopping there.  Tomorrow they're playing at Hamburg's Mojo Club and then it's over the channel to play the C2C Country Music Festival at London's O2, Glasgow's Armadillo and over the Irish Sea in Dublin's 3Arena.  If you're not already Good For A Good Time you can get tickets here.

With the help of our friends at English Heritage we've been able to arrange a Stone Circle visit for Darius and the band at Stonehenge.  Euro Carney heard that it was on the boys' bucket lists so he shouted out to Fleur back at the nest.  After some major logistical wrangling by the incredible team at English Heritage the crew pulled it out of the bag.  As the sun comes up on Thursday they'll be tearing down the A303, Fatboy Slim's favourite, before getting up close and personal with the prehistoric monument.  You can keep up with their take on it on Darius's twitter feed here.  As always you can keep an eye on our Facebook or hop on over to Garry Murray's, and we'll chuck in the odd Instagram about it too.  You may even see a rare and welcome sighting of the incredible Buddy Wright.  And if you fancy a trip down memory lane, you can see our previous jaunt at the ancient stones for the Kids Takeover English Heritage films that we made here.
