Down along the rocky shore, some make their home.
They live on crispy pancakes, of yellow tide-foam. But these are no fairies on Loch Indaal's Brudhach a Chladdaich, they are foragers, and very fine foragers they are too.
Bruichladdich are holding a Chef's Summit on Islay this week and we're there to capture the capers as the gourmandiseurs get stuck in. They're tasting the spectrum of foraged flavours on the windswept Hebridean outpost that inspired the creation of The Botanist Gin. Captain Carney and fellow lens mate Alfredo are up on the Queen of the Hebrides to see what these wild thinkers are going
to pull out of the bushes next. Taste sensations are being served up and devoured by Mark Williams (pictured top), Craig Grozier, Ally Kelsey, Carl Legge, Leonardo Pereira and Rupert Waites.
