We've been working with the fascinating Dr Nell Darby and the team at CBS Reality to promote Monster Films' new series of Murder By The Sea.
When Satvinder Johal reached out about the project, we were thrilled. Sat is a supreme talent and has invited us to work on some fantastic films over the years including comedy dramas Gold Top and Debbie.
This time we were summoned to beautiful Llandudno where Carney DOP'd the shoot with Sat, Barry Durkin, Jess Rampling and Erik Pardos Olsen.
British seaside towns have a dubious reputation for hosting the most remarkable crimes. Murder by the Sea looks at the deadly tales from the coastlines of the United Kingdom.
Dr Nell Darby is a historian, writer and presenter whose PhD is in the history of crime, but she originally trained as a newspaper journalist. As the descendant of Victorian performers and journalists, she has long been interested in the lives of nineteenth-century actors, and how these lives were reported in the newspapers. Her latest book ‘Sister Sleuths’, a history of female private detectives is out now.
Fleur worked with local air traffic and authorities to clear for launch so that Carney could capture Llandudno from the skies with our DJI drones.
Series 7 of Murder By The Sea will be coming to CBS Reality (Sky 146, Virgin 148, Freeview 67, Freesat 135) this September, with an 8th series premiering in January 2023.
